 社会消费品零售总额 指国民经济各行业直接售给城乡居民和社会集团的消费品总额。它是反映各行业通过多种商品流通渠道向居民和社会集团供应的生活消费品总量,是研究国内零售市场变动情况、反映经济景气程度的重要指标。

社会消费品零售总额包括:售给城乡居民作为生活用的商品和修建房屋用的建筑材料;售给社会集团的各种办公用品和公用消费品;售给机关、团体、学校、部队、企业、事业单位的职工食堂和旅店(招待所)附设专门供本店旅客食用,不对外营业的食堂的各种食品、燃料;企业、单位和国营农场直接售给本单位职工和职工食堂的自己生产的产品;售给部队干部、战士生活用的粮食、副食品、衣着品、日用品、燃料;售给来华的外国人、华侨、港澳台同胞的消费品;居民自费购买的中、西药品、中药材及医疗用品;报社、出版社直接售给居民和社会集团的报纸、图书、杂志,集邮公司出售的新、旧纪念邮票、特种邮票、首日封、集邮册、集邮工具等;旧货寄售商店自购、自销部分的商品;煤气公司、液化石油气站售给居民和社会集团的煤气灶具和罐装液化石油气;农民售给非农业居民和社会集团的商品。不包括售给国民经济各部门企业、事业单位(包括国有经济的农场)生产经营用的各种原材料、燃料、设备、工具等和售给批发零售贸易业、餐饮业作为转卖用的商品,旧货寄售商店受托寄售卖出的商品,服务业的营业收入,邮局出售邮票的收入,自来水、电力、煤气生产(供应)单位的产品供应收入,也不包括农民之间的商品销售。

 批发零售贸易业商品购、销、存总额 指各种登记注册类型的批发、零售贸易业(不包括个体)企业(单位)以本企业(单位)为总体的商品购进、销售、库存总额。

 商品购进总额 指从本企业(单位)以外的单位和个人购进(包括从境外直接进口)作为转卖或加工后转卖的商品总额。它反映批发零售贸易业从国内、国外市场上购进商品的总量。商品购进总额包括:从工农业生产者购进的商品;从出版社、报社的出版发行部门购进的图书、杂志和报纸;从各种登记注册类型的批发零售贸易企业(单位)购进的商品;从其他单位购进的商品,如从机关、团体、企业等单位购进的剩余物资,从餐饮业、服务业购进的商品,从海关、市场管理部门购进的缉私和没收的商品,从居民手中收购的废旧商品等;从国()外直接进口的商品。不包括企业(单位)为自身经营用和未通过买卖行为而收入的商品以及销售退回、商品升溢等。

商品销售总额 指对本企业(单位)以外的单位和个人出售(包括对境外直接出口)的商品总额(含增值税)。它反映批发零售贸易业在国内市场上销售商品以及出口商品的总量。商品销售总额包括:售给城乡居民和社会集团消费用的商品;售给工业、农业、建筑业、运输邮电业、批发零售贸易业、餐饮业、服务业等作为生产、经营使用的商品;售给批发零售贸易业作为转卖或加工后转卖的商品;对国()外直接出口的商品。不包括出售本企业(单位)自用的废旧包装用品;未通过买卖行为付出的商品;经本单位介绍,由买卖双方直接结算,本单位只收取手续费的业务;购货退出的商品以及商品损耗和损失等。

批发零售贸易业库存 指报告期末各种登记注册类型的批发零售贸易企业(单位)已取得所有权的商品。它反映批发零售贸易企业(单位)的商品库存情况和对市场商品供应的保证程度。期末库存包括:存放在批发零售贸易业经营单位(如门市部、批发站、经营处)仓库、货场、货柜和货架中的商品;挑选、整理、包装中的商品;已记入购进而尚未运到本单位的商品,即发货单或银行承兑凭证已到而货未到的部分;寄放他处的商品,如因购货方拒绝承付而暂时存放在购货方的商品和已办完加工成品收回手续而未提回的商品;委托其他单位代销(未作销售或调出)尚未售出的商品;代其他单位购进尚未交付的商品。不包括所有权不属于本单位的商品、拨付除批发零售贸易业以外的其他行业所属独立核算加工厂等加工生产尚未收回成品的商品、代国家物资储备部门保管的商品等。

 

 

Explanatory Notes on Main Statistical Indicators

 

Total Retail Sales of Consumer Goods   refer to the sum of retail sales of commodities sold by Various industries of national economy to urban and rural households for household consumption and to social institutions for public consumption. It is a reflection of the industry through a variety of channels for commodity circulation to the residents and social group for the supply of consumer goods total, and it also is an important index for research of domestic retail market changes and reflecting the degree of economic boom.

Total retail sales of consumer goods include:

a) Sales sold to urban and rural residents as a commodity and the construction of housing construction materials.

b) Various office supplies and consumer goods sold to the social group;

c) Food, fuel sold to staff canteens of Organs, organizations, schools, military units, enterprises and institutions and canteen nearby hotels (Hospitality) specifically for the shop passenger edible and non-open to the public; products producing by enterprises, units and state farms  sold directly to their employees and staff canteen own.

d) Food, non-staple food, clothing, daily necessities, fuel sold to military personnel, soldiers for living;

e) Consumer goods sold to foreigners, overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots in China;

f) Chinese and Western medicine, Chinese herbal medicine and medical supplies purchased by residents purchased at their own expense;

g) Newspapers, books, magazines, new and old commemorative stamps sold by philatelic corporation , special stamps, FDC, stamps, stamp collecting tools, etc. sold by newspapers, publishing houses to residents and social groups;

h) Goods Since the purchase of second-hand shops;

i) Gas cooker and bottled liquefied petroleum gas sold by gas and liquefied petroleum gas stations to residents and social groups;

j) Goods sold by farmers to non-agricultural residents and social groups. It does not include all raw materials, fuel, equipment, tools etc. sold to national economic departments, enterprises and institutions (including farm of state-owned economy) for production and management and goods sold to wholesale and retail trade, catering industry as commodities, consignment selling goods  commissioned by  vintage consignment shop, services revenue of service industry, income of post on sell stamps, income of tap water, electricity, gas production and supply unit on the supply of products. It also does not include sales of commodities among farmers.

Purchase, Sales and Stock of Commodities by Wholesale and Retail Trades refer to the total volume of commodities purchased, total volume of sales and exports, and the stock of commodities by wholesale and retail enterprises (establishments) of different status of registration from domestic and overseas markets.

Total Purchases of Commodities   refer to the total value of purchases of commodities by enterprises (establishments) from other establishments or individuals (including direct import from abroad) for the purpose of re-selling, either with or without further processing of the commodities purchased. This indicator is used to show the total value of purchases of commodities by wholesale and retail establishments from domestic and overseas markets. The purchases include: (1) agricultural and industrial products purchased from producers; (2) books, magazines and newspapers purchased from distribution departments of the publishers; (3) commodities purchased from wholesale and retail establishments of different status of registration; (4) commodities purchased from other units, such as surplus materials purchased from government agencies, enterprises or institutions, commodities purchased from hotels and catering services establishments, confiscated goods purchased from customs authorities or market management agencies, second-hand goods and wastes purchased from residents; and (5) commodities directly imported from abroad. Excluded are commodities purchased by enterprises (establishments) for use in their own business operation, commodities obtained without buying or selling procedures, rejected commodities, etc.

Total Sales of Commodities   refer to value of commodities sold by the establishments to other establishments and individuals (including direct export to abroad). This indicator is used to show the total value of sales of commodities at domestic markets and export. The sales include: (1) commodities sold to urban and rural residents and social groups for their consumption; (2) commodities sold to establishments in industry, agriculture, construction, transportation, post and telecommunications, wholesale and retail trades, hotels and catering services, and public utility for their production and operation; (3) commodities sold to wholesale and retail establishments for re-selling, with or without further processing; and (4) commodities for direct export to abroad. Excluded are selling of waste packaging materials used by the establishments (units) themselves, commodities transferred without buying or selling procedures, commission income from brokerage in transactions for which settlement is directly handled by buyers and sellers, rejected commodities in the purchase, loss in commodities, etc.

Total Stock of Wholesale and Retail Trade   refers to total commodities possessed by wholesale and retail enterprises (units) of various types of registration status at the end of the reference period, reflecting the commodity stock level of various wholesale and retail enterprises and the potential for market supply. It includes: (1) commodities located in storage, garages, counters, and shelves of operating units (such as sale stores, wholesale centres, and operating offices) of wholesale and retail enterprises; (2) commodities in the process of being selected, sorted, and packed; (3) commodities not arrived but recorded as purchase in the account, i.e. commodities not arrived but payment receipts for the commodities from the sellers or the banks arrived; (4) commodities deposited in other places rather than places mentioned above, for instance: commodities in the hold of purchasers temporarily due to the refusal of payment and commodities not taken back after going through the formalities; (5) commodities entrusted to other units to sell but not sold yet; (6) commodities purchased for other units but not delivered yet. Commodities not included as stock are those not owned by the enterprises (units), commodities on commission for processing but not yet delivered, imported commodities of agency of foreign trade enterprise but not yet delivered to ordering units and finally those put in stock on behalf of the state material reserves units.
